Waste to energy
The Dutchland Anaerobic Digestion / RNG team provides decades of expertise in providing durable structures to the waste to energy market. Dutchland has engineered, manufactured and built many digester structures and other process tanks for food and beverage waste, dairy, poultry, municipal, and pharmaceutical waste type feedstocks. This includes RNG, and CHP end use systems from our state-of-the-art anaerobic digesters, using highly durable precast post-tensioned concrete tank construction technology.
We do the engineering design work for the structures in-house and produce the precast concrete components in multiple locations in the USA, deploy crews for the assembly and testing of the structures, and can produce highly durable precast post-tensioned concrete tank systems in less time than most alternatives.
Dutchland is proud to be championing the biogas industry through the construction of precast post-tensioned concrete tanks.
Maryland Bio-energy Center
The Bioenergy Devco BTS Biogas’ Maryland Food Center Campus is revolutionizing the end use of organic waste. The first of its scale, the Jessup Bio-energy Center can recycle 110,000 tons of organic matter each year, generating renewable natural gas (RNG) that is injected into the natural gas pipeline.
- 312,000 MMBtu of RNG
- Energy to power over 7,600 homes annually
- Nutrient-rich soil amendment
Durable & Sustainable
Precast post-tensioning technology allows for a reduction in schedule and materials while still meeting the needs of our customers. In addition, precast post-tensioned concrete construction by Dutchland reduces the carbon footprint by as much as 20-30% when compared to traditional cast-in-place concrete technology, making it not only the most durable option but also the most responsible.
